Delete templates and template projects

Permanently delete a template or a whole template project from the API, the CLI, and the dashboard. Sent-message history is kept.

You can now permanently delete a template, or a whole template project, instead of leaving it behind.

DELETE /v1/templates/{id} removes a template with its publications, input contracts, and preview images, and frees its handle. DELETE /v1/templates/projects/{id} removes a project with every template in it, plus its repository and editor workspace. Messages you already sent keep their history.

If anything still uses the template, such as a campaign, journey, topic, newsletter, or scheduled message, the API answers 409 with a TemplateInUseError that lists each blocking item by kind and id. Detach them and try again.

What you need to do. The operation behind DELETE /v1/templates/{id} is now named delete, so SDK callers that used templates.remove switch to templates.delete. isActive is gone from templates: there is no deactivate step, and a template either exists or it does not.

From the CLI, run samva templates delete <id> --dry-run to preview and --yes to confirm, or samva templates projects delete <id> for a project. In the dashboard, use Delete on a template card, or Delete project on a project card and type its name to confirm.
