Samva vs Resend.
Resend and Samva are both developer-first email APIs for transactional and product email. They differ on the template layer, what happens to inbound mail, how you pay past your plan, and the depth of the TypeScript tooling.

You want React Email as the authoring layer, official SDKs across many languages, marketing Broadcasts priced by contact count, or an uncapped invoice past your plan rather than a spend limit.
Your stack is TypeScript and you want typed contracts end to end, including an Effect-native SDK. Replies should thread into conversations your product can read, and your coding agents can send through a hosted MCP server.
Both meter past the plan, and the difference is the ceiling. Resend bills a traffic spike onto the invoice. Samva bills the same spike at $0.50 per 1,000, then stops at the $50 monthly limit every paid plan starts with, which you can move or pause. A spike costs you the limit rather than whatever the month produced.
The template layers take opposite positions. React Email gives you a component library and the rendering happens in your codebase before the send call. Samva hosts the template with its version history, so the send call references a template and publishing a new version changes what ships without touching send code.
