Configure Samva email records in Namecheap’s Advanced DNS and Custom MX settings, then verify your domain in Samva.
Use these steps for a domain on Namecheap BasicDNS, PremiumDNS, or FreeDNS. If Advanced DNS has no editable host records, your DNS may be managed by a hosting account or another provider. Add records there instead; you do not need to change nameservers to use Samva.
Open your records in Samva
In the Samva dashboard, open Email → Domains and select your domain. If you have not added it yet, follow Verify your sending domain.
Keep the records table open. Sending requires a DKIM TXT record and an MX record plus an SPF TXT record at the custom return-path subdomain. Copy the names and values from your own table, including the MX priority. The examples below explain names; they are not replacement records.
Open Advanced DNS
Sign in to Namecheap, choose Domain List, and select Manage next to your domain. Open Advanced DNS.
In the examples below, the DNS zone is example.com. Enter mail in Host for mail.example.com, or mail.updates for mail.updates.example.com. Keep the rest of the record name, including any DKIM selector and _domainkey. Namecheap appends the zone name.
Add DKIM and SPF under Host Records
- Under Host Records, select Add New Record.
- Choose TXT Record.
- Fill Host with the record name relative to the zone.
- Paste the complete Samva TXT value into Value and keep TTL at Automatic.
- Save with the checkmark. Repeat for the other TXT record.
If a separate Samva feature shows a CNAME, add a CNAME Record here too. Its Value is the complete destination from Samva.
Add the return-path MX under Mail Settings
Namecheap manages MX records separately from Host Records. Before changing Mail Settings, note your current mail configuration and its MX records. Switching a preset to Custom MX can affect existing mail delivery; preserve the records your inbox or forwarding service requires. Ask Namecheap support for help if you cannot preserve that configuration.
- Under Mail Settings, select Custom MX.
- Add an MX Record with the following values, alongside the existing mail records you need to retain.
- Save the change.

The return-path MX belongs at the name Samva shows. Do not substitute @, which would put it at the root of the zone.
Check verification in Samva
Return to the domain page and choose Check now below the records when it is available. Samva also checks in the background. A record marked Found has been detected; the domain finishes setup when the page says Ready to send.
If a record shows Not found yet or Doesn't match, compare its saved name, type, and full value with Samva. DNS caches can take time to refresh after a correction. Keep the required records in place after verification so email authentication continues to work.
