Add Samva’s email DNS records in Cloudflare, check the record fields and proxy settings, and verify your sending domain.
Use this guide when Cloudflare manages your domain's DNS. You can also use automatic DNS setup if Samva offers a Cloudflare connection.
Open your records in Samva
In the Samva dashboard, open Email → Domains and select your domain. If you have not added it yet, follow Verify your sending domain.
Keep the records table open. Sending requires a DKIM TXT record and an MX record plus an SPF TXT record at the custom return-path subdomain. Copy the names and values from your own table, including the MX priority. The examples below explain names; they are not replacement records.
Add the records in Cloudflare
- Sign in to the Cloudflare dashboard and select the domain.
- Open DNS → Records, then choose Add record.
- Select the type from the Samva row and fill in the matching fields below.
- Keep TTL at Auto, then select Save. Repeat for each required record.

For the example.com zone, a Samva name of mail.example.com can be entered as mail. For a sending domain of updates.example.com, enter mail.updates for mail.updates.example.com. Keep the complete destination in the value field.
Paste the DKIM value as one entry. Do not create separate TXT records for pieces of the key.
Cloudflare settings to check
TXT and MX records have no proxy toggle. For a CNAME that Samva asks you to add, choose DNS only (the gray cloud). If a CNAME used for verification still fails, check that CNAME flattening is disabled for that record; flattening can hide the CNAME answer Samva needs.
The return-path MX record belongs at the name Samva supplies, normally mail beneath your sending domain. Keep existing mailbox MX records at other names. If mail already has a conflicting record, resolve the conflict with whoever manages that service before changing it.
Check verification in Samva
Return to the domain page and choose Check now below the records when it is available. Samva also checks in the background. A record marked Found has been detected; the domain finishes setup when the page says Ready to send.
If a record shows Not found yet or Doesn't match, compare its saved name, type, and full value with Samva. DNS caches can take time to refresh after a correction. Keep the required records in place after verification so email authentication continues to work.
