A template can carry its own sender, reply-to address, and open and click tracking. You can now set all three in the editor toolbar under Sending defaults, without an API call.
Each tracking field is Inherit, On, or Off. Inherit shows the value it resolves to and where it comes from, such as your organization defaults.
What you need to do. Nothing. Defaults you already set stay as they are. Your coding agent can change the same fields with the hosted MCP tool templates_update, and trackingDefault is now accepted by the public template update.
