# Activity notification

Tell someone a teammate mentioned them, with the comment quoted in full, the trace it points at, one button and the activity since they were last in.

## Guidance

- The actor, the item, the quoted comment and every timestamp are input. The template never reads the clock, so a digest can restate the times in the reader's timezone. The activity since the reader was last in is a list, so a quiet hour and a busy one share one source.
- The trace is optional. With it, the email shows the trace id, a one-line summary and a strip of its spans, and the button opens the trace. Without it, as the incident fixture shows, the mention is on an incident and the button opens that.
- It is written for Basalt, a fictional data platform. Replace its mark and the avatars with your own images; every color is a theme token set in starter.css. Link the notification settings to the page where the reader manages these emails.
