# Make a brand the default from the command line

> The CLI can now set a brand as your default and delete brands you no longer use, with a dry run first, so brand changes can live in a script.

Brand changes no longer need the dashboard. `samva brands default acme` makes a brand the one templates and domains use when they name none. `samva brands remove acme` deletes one you no longer need, and the default brand can't be deleted, so move the default first.

Both take `--dry-run` to preview and `--json` for scripts. Removing asks for confirmation in a terminal and needs `--yes` anywhere else.

**What you need to do.** Update the CLI to 0.22 or later.

Template commands such as `samva templates check` now also honor `--org` and `--profile` when they look up your brand.
